As a registered member, all new posts made while you're away from the board will be marked on your return.
You'll have to log in to view them, and they'll remain 'marked' until you finish your session on the bulletin board. When you leave the board, all post markers are updated ready for your return.
If you are active on the board, and have read the posts in a forum, you can click on the 'Reset all forum post markers'. This will update the markers for the current session.
You can also choose to 'View new posts' from your personal menu strip. This will search through the forums and return a list of links containing unread posts. The links will take you to a new window displaying the thread containing the new posts.
